Carbon Drive Takes Top 3 Spots in Bicycling’s Commuter / Urban Bike Category

The June issue of Bicycling featuring the Editors’ Choice awards saw Carbon Drive go three for three in the commuter/urban bike category. Which if you have ever ridden in the city, is really a no brainer. Carbon Drive has completely reinvented urban riding with their simple, quite and completely clean (no tucking in your pants into your socks) belt drive system.

All three urban bikes chosen by the editors of Bicycling feature the Gates belt drive, including the winning Breezer Beltway and runner-ups the Trek Soho Deluxe and Raleigh City Sport DLX. Bicycling also features the Source 11 from Specialized in its City Bikes Buyer’s Guide. For no-fuss commuting and urban riding, Carbon Drive is the premium upgrade.

5th Annual Cactus Bike From Work Bash Presented by Primal

At Cactus, we like bikes. We also like parties. Which is why we are thrilled to host the Fifth Annual Cactus Bike From Work Bash Presented by Primal on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in celebration of Bike to Work Day. 2013BFWB_Poster_v4

The Cactus Bike From Work Bash brings together bike lovers from across the metro area to celebrate bike culture and raise money for BikeDenver.  Building on the success of the past 4 years, Bike From Work Bash will once again be an evening of two-wheeled delight at the Cactus offices at 15th & Little Raven—a perfect stop for commuters, located next to Confluence Park, the Platte River and Cherry Creek trails, and just minutes from Union Station. The event will feature food trucks, door prizes, free beer from Boulder Beer, entertainment and a chance to party with Denver’s diverse bike community while supporting the work of BikeDenver.

The Cactus Bike From Work Bash is a unique community event with a simple philosophy: have fun, promote a healthy lifestyle, support the environment, and build relationships within the community. While the event is free, partygoers are encouraged to show a little love by donating a few bucks to BikeDenver.

While Boulder Beer is kicking down free brews again this year, anyone who has been to the bash knows the beer line can get long and the free kegs aren’t bottomless. So for this year, we are also introducing the limited edition Bike From Work Bash Beer Mug. With the mug, you can skip the lines and get access to a wider selection of liquid joy from Boulder Beer.  What better way to celebrate bikes year round than with a sturdy, bike inspired beer mug. Mugs will be available for purchase at the event. All proceeds go to BikeDenver.
